Your Parents' Books

Name a few books (if any) you can remember being on your parents' shelves when you were a little kid, along with any key sentences you recall from when you "read" them.

1) The Immigrants by Howard Fast
"You have deflowered me, Daniel Lavette."

2) Cujo by Stephen King
"It was matting her blue sailor dress, blood, oh dear God dear Jesus Joseph and Mary so much blood"

3) Trinity by Leon Uris
[never opened it, but my brother was almost named "Conor"]

Wow, do I love this shirt.

Made up entirely of Lacoste alligators, designed by Fernando and Humberto Campana and handmade by the Coopa Roca Women's co-operative in Brazil.

NH State Rep. Nancy Elliot on HB159 (repeal of gay marriage in NH)

Imagine. Really. My arguing to repeal your right to get married because I think (I don't, necessarily) that a penis shooting whitish, snot-like goo into a vagina [or a female's mouth, or onto a female's breasts], after doing a bit of "wiggling around," isn't something I would personally enjoy.

Impolitical posted and captions this video "NH State Representative Nancy Elliott, R-Merrimack, speaking in the executive session on HB 1590, to repeal same-sex marriage. 2/9/2010"
