Amazing photos taken in July '07, when locals and rangers worked together to evacuate the bodies of four Mountain Gorillas in the Virunga National Park, Eastern Congo. there is something profoundly chilling about those pictures. more so than if they had been any other beast. it's like we are murdering our ancestors.
